Lakshadweep Merit Scholarship Exam
Applications are invited from the qualified Scheduled Tribe students studying in 6th, 9th and 11th standard for Lakshadweep Merit Scholarship Examination (LMSE) 2018-19.
Eligibility Criteria
** ST students passed 5th standard and secured 60% (or) above marks in the annual exam held in March 2017.
** ST students passed 8th standard and secured 60% (or) above marks in the annual exam held in March 2017.
** ST students passed 10th standard and secured 60% (or) above marks in the annual exam held in March 2017.
Scheme Highlights
The students passing in the exam with 60% marks and above will receive “Excellence” scholarship and 75% and above will receive “Outstanding” in middle elementary, secondary and senior secondary classes from the department.
The students qualified for the merit scholarship under the scheme will receive merit scholarship in 6th, 7th and 8th classes at middle elementary level, 9th and 10th classes at secondary level and 11th and 12th classes at senior secondary.
The rate of the monthly scholarship under the scheme is revised and enhanced to Rs.400/-, Rs.500/- and Rs.750/- for the students of middle elementary, secondary and senior secondary respectively, scoring average of 60% and above marks and Rs.500, Rs.650 and Rs.1000 respectively for the students scoring average of 75% and above marks in the merit exam.

All important highlights of the scheme, eligibility criteria, syllabus, details of examination papers and application form etc can be obtained from Principals of Sr.Sc.Schools of all islands and Headmaster Bitra and also available in the official website of Lakshadweep www.lakshadweep.nic.in.
All the Principals are directed to give vide publicity on the scheme and duly filled in applications may be obtained from the eligible candidates and the same may be forwarded to Department of Education Kavaratti on (or) before 5/8/2018.
