KSPC Pharmacy Educational Scholarship

Karnataka State Pharmacy Council introduce a scholarship scheme for the legal heirs of the registered pharmacists in the state of Karnataka, who pursue their pharmacy education (D.Pharm, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, and Pharm.D).

Objective:
To encourage and financially support legal heirs of Registered Pharmacists to pursue Pharmacy education and to continue the practice of profession.

Scholarship Details

Course Name- No.of Scholarships-Scholarship Amount
** D. Pharm (2 years)- 02- Rs. 10000
** B. Pharm (4 years)- 02 -Rs. 20000
** M. Pharm (2 years)- 02- Rs. 20000
** Pharm.D (5 years) -02- Rs. 20000

The scholarship will be the amount mentioned above or the exact fee paid, whichever is less.

Eligibility Criteria

1. The renewal status of Registered Pharmacist must be upto date / current.
2. He/she shall be legal heir of the Registered Pharmacist of Karnataka.
3. He/she shall secure admission to D. Pharm, B.Pharm, M.Pharm and Pharm D courses in any institutions of Karnataka, recognised by Pharmacy Council of India.
4. Merit in PUC will be considered for selection for scholarships for D.Pharm Category.
5. CET ranking and score will be considered to select candidates for scholarships to B.Pharm, Pharm D categories.
6. PGCET ranking and score will be considered to select candidates for scholarships to M.Pharm categories.

Scholarship Conditions

1. The scholarship will be paid to the selected candidates for period of the course, provided he/she shall pass all the subjects in that academic year or in both the semesters of that year with first class.
2. If a candidate is unable to attend the annual or semester examinations owing to illness and or on account of any unforeseen circumstances, the scholarship may be considered for next academic year.
3. The scholarship amount mentioned for a particular category will be given through cheque only after producing proof of admission.
4. The scholarship for his/her legal heir will be withheld for that year in case the Registered Pharmacist fails to renew his/her registration annually.
5. GPAT qualified candidate receiving AICTE fellowship is not eligible for KSPC scholarships.
6. In case of death of the Registered Pharmacist, the scholarship will be continued to the candidate till the completion of the course.

Application Procedure

The candidate shall apply for the scholarship in the specified application format available on the KSPC website.

Documents Required

Documents to submit along with the application:
1. PUC marks card – 1St and 2nd Year
2. CET/PGCET rank letter
3. Proof of admission and fee paid receipt
4. Registered Pharmacist’s Certificate
5. Proof of relationship with Registered Pharmacist
6. Self-declaration (in specified format)

Documents to submit for continuation of scholarship:
1. Attendance certificate issued and attested by the Principal / Dean of the institution.
2. Marks card issued by the University/Board of examining authority/competent authority attested by the Principal / Dean of the institution.
3. Fee paid receipt attested by the Principal / Dean of the institution.
4. Registered Pharmacist’s Renewal Fee Receipt & Renewal Note.
5. Bank details like Bank Account No., Bank Name, Branch, IFSC Code

The evaluation, selection or any other matter for scholarship will be finally decided by the committee
