Nalanda University Fellowships:
The Nalanda University fellowships are designed to encourage excellence in multi-disciplinary research in specific fields and mainly relate to inter-Asian connections while also engaging with various aspects of building a unique University. The program will initially concentrate on fellowships in the two inaugural Schools of Historical Studies and Environment and Ecology Studies.
The fellowship program will support work determined to further existing knowledge in the above-mentioned areas, develop new methods to address them and inspire future scholars with newer directions of research. Finally, in accordance with the vision of the University, the program aspires to learn and teach simultaneously.
The fellowships for 2013-2014 have been awarded to five fellows, with four joining in 2013 and another in 2014

Nalanda University was established in November 2010. The University came into being by a special Act of the Indian Parliament – a testimony to the important status that Nalanda University occupies in the Indian intellectual landscape.
