CEPT-Amaya Scholarship

CEPT announce a new scholarship for Faculty of Architecture (UG B.Arch Batch 2017 only) students starting this year, called, CEPT-Amaya Scholarship.

The scholarship offers financial assistance to two deserving students who are currently in their first year of the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program.

Both the awardee students will receive 50% fee waiver from their annual fees, and will receive it throughout their program duration of five years (subject to the required academic performance and continued need for financial assistance).

The scholarship is supported through a special fund of set up by Amaya Properties LLP, an award winning firm that works on development of residential, commercial and plotted real estate.

Amaya Properties is led by Shaan Jhaveri, designer and entrepreneur with varied interests ranging from architectural and product design to running a popular restaurant – Swati Snacks in Ahmedabad.

Eligibility Criteria for the scholarship

Students who registered for the 2nd semester of the B. Arch program during Spring 2017-18, and fulfil the following criteria are eligible to apply

** Students whose combined annual family income is less than Rs. 10 lakhs
** Students who are not receiving any other government/ private scholarships or grants or benefits

Selection Process

Awardee students would be selected based on their merit performance during CEPT Admissions and family’s financial background. The shortlisted students will appear for a personal interview with the selection committee, comprising Dean FA, Registrar, Academic Director and Admissions Chair.

Continuity Criteria

To continue the scholarship the awardee students must maintain a minimum 2.7 CGPA (equivalent of B-) in every semester and complete all the courses in first attempt. There should be no records of any disciplinary action taken against the awardee students throughout the duration of scholarship

The combined annual family income of the awardee students owing to increments and inflation adjustments, in subsequent years till 2021-22, must remain under above Rs. 15 lakhs.
