Reliance initiated the Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship in 1996 to realize this conviction to support meritorious students of India in their pursuit of higher studies.
Eligibility
The Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship supports meritorious students across India to pursue higher studies, post their Higher Secondary examination in a stream and institution of their choice. Until now, the Scholarship has benefitted more than 10,000 students, including 2,000 differently abled students. Nearly half the scholarship recipients are girls.
Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship awards differently abled meritorious students under a separate category.
The Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship has enabled students to pursue higher studies in streams such as engineering, medicine, law, pharmacy, science, business management and other social sciences.
Today, these scholars have successful careers in some of the best organizations across the world. The scholarship unleashes the potential of the youth of India to grow into leaders in their respective fields.
More than 11,000 meritorious students, 20 percent of whom are specially-abled, have been awarded scholarships under the Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship Programme in India. The scholarship programme plays a key role in building confidence and motivating students to excel in their lives.
Currently the programme reaches out to all States and Union Territories of India both in rural and urban areas. The scholarships are awarded to meritorious students who demonstrate need for financial support and to differently abled meritorious students under a separate category.
