Delhi Ladli Scheme

Delhi Ladli Scheme 2017 is a scheme under the Department of Women and Child Development, New Delhi. It invites application from girl child who born in the last 1-year and must be the resident of Delhi.

The objective of this scheme is to empower the girl child socially, economically and also promote birth registration of girl child in Delhi. The selected child will receive INR 11,000 as a financial support.

Eligibility

** The girl should be born in Delhi and have birth certificate issued by the Registrar (Births & Deaths), MCD or NDMC
** Must be a bonafide resident of the National Capital Territory of Delhi for at least 3 years preceding the date of birth
** The family income should be less than INR 1 lac
** The girl who is school going, her school must be recognised by Delhi government/MCD/NDMC
** The scheme is limited to 2 surviving girls per family
** The scheme is for the girls born in the last 1-year and financial help will be provided each in further 5 milestones i.e., class 1, 6, 9, 10 and 12

How To Apply

The application can be done by a person with the following steps

Step 1: Download the form or can take from district offices (Department of Social Welfare/ WCD, Government of Delhi) or State Bank of India or Government recognised school.
Step 2: Fill the details.
Step 3: Attach all the required documents.
Step 4: Submit it to the concerned District Officer.

For School going girl: Within 90 days of admission of the girl
For Newborn girl: Within the year of birth

Required Documents

Documents to be attached with the form:
** 3-years residence proof in Delhi prior to registration
** Income certificate
** Birth certificate of the girl child issued by the Registrar of MCD/NDMC
** Group photo of parents with the girl child
** Caste certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC
** Photocopy of Aadhar card of the parents and the child (if available)

Award

** The girl who born in the last 1-year (institutional delivery): INR 11,000
** The girl who born in the last 1-year (delivery at home): INR 10,000

For further financial assistance:
On admission in class 1, 6, 9, 10, 12: INR 5,000 for each class

Maturity Claim procedure:
** The girls registered under this scheme will file maturity claim after passing their 10th class if they are 18 yrs old or have passed 12th class
** Girls are required to submit an application along with the acknowledgement letter received from SBIL, residential address; Mark sheet of 10th or 12th (whichever is applicable), photocopy of the Bank Passbook showing the account number; mobile or landline number.
** Selected girls are required to open a Zero Balance Saving Account with the State Bank of India by showing the acknowledgement letter received from the bank
** Prior to this stage, money is transferred to the Unique ID number of the selected girl child, allotted by the State Bank of India
