Financial Assistance :

UPES currently offers scholarships (part and full tuition fee waiver) in specific programs, as decided by the University from time to time. This may differ from year to year and is decided after the students complete their registration at the beginning of each academic year.

The scholarships are awarded purely on the basis of academic merit cum means, and are at the sole discretion of the Scholarship Committee, whose decision is final and binding.

25% concession on Tuition Fee for Uttarakhand domicile students on merit-cum-means basis, to be decided by the University, subject to fulfillment of the following conditions by the student

The student’s gross annual family income should not be more than Rs. 3 lakhs. The student should possess necessary documents attesting the fact

The student should be in possession of a valid ‘Sthai Niwas Praman Patra’ (domicile certificate) from the State of Uttarakhand

The student should have done schooling & passed Class X and Class XII from Uttarakhand (this condition may be relaxed for wards of Defence personnel subject to production of posting certificate outside the state issued by competent authority)

Education Loans :
UPES has a formal tie-up with two of India’s leading nationalized banks. State Bank of India and Oriental Bank of Commerce are there to facilitate students’ access to easy education loans. The Education loans provide coverage for expenses including program fees and hostel fees.

Industry Scholarships :
Though maintained by the UGC and accredited by NAAC, UPES is not a recipient of grants or financial aid from any government body.

However, UPES is unique in the respect that it has the unflinching support of the corporates, associations, societies and individual professionals in the Energy and Allied sectors.

The industry provides UPES in multiple ways; from allowing access to their vast knowledge bases and valuable experience to field visits in otherwise inaccessible installations; from laboratory equipment, books and sports facilities to scholarships and endowments.

Corporations have endowed UPES with financial as well as knowledge assistance and we are grateful for their continued contribution. In fact, many scholarships have been set up by professionals in their individual capacity as well.

Doctoral Research Fellowships :
UPES emphasizes research-based learning. To enable quality research, the University provides qualified and experienced mentors with top-of-the-line facilities and requisite environment.
