The fresh B.Tech. 2017-18 Batch students need to submit the online application in the National Scholarship Portal by October 25, 2017, so that they can be verified and forwarded to the Ministry in time.
After submitting the online application, please take its printout, sign it and submit the same along with the copies of the required documents as enclosed in the online application to the Academic Section.
The URL of the National Scholarship Portal is https://scholarships.gov.in/. Renewal students for CSSS should submit their applications in two sets as per the enclosed prescribed Application Form along with required documents to Academic Section by October 23, 2017 for onward transmission to the Ministry in time.
The detailed notification of Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top class Education for SC students for the year 2017-18 by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment is enclosed herewith for your ready reference.
Documents (Self-attested) to be enclosed With the application form:
1. Parental Income Certificate for 2016-17 (issued by the Competent Authority not below the rank of Tehsildar).
2. +2 Mark sheet and pass Certificate (Photocopy) for fresher and last two semester Grade cards (Photocopies) for Renewal students.
3. Caste Certificate (Photocopy).
4. Aadhar based Bank Account details (Photocopy of Passbook).
5. Aadhaar Card (Photocopy copy).
6. Undertaking by students to the effect that he/she is not in receipt of any Scholarship from any Other source.
As you are aware that the Government of India has been implementing the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of “Top Class Education for SC Students” since 2007. It aims at recognizing and promoting quality education amongst students belonging to SCs by providing full financial support.
The Scheme covers SC students for pursuing studies beyond 12th class. Under this Scheme, the Students who get admission in the Institutions notified by this Ministry are eligible to get financial Support as scholarship for Covering four items namely:
(i) Full tuition fee and non refundable charges
(ii) Living expenses (GRs. 2,220/- per month
(iii) Book and Stationery G) Rs. 3,000/- per annum and
(iv) A latest Computer with accessories like UPS, Printer, and Multimedia limited to Rs. 45,000/- required for pursuing their higher study (one time grant only).
It is requested to send the fresh proposals for scholarship for 2017-18 to Department of Social Justice and Empowerment through National Scholarship Portal (NSP) by 31.10.2017. It is to inform that candidates are to be selected for grant of Scholarship as per the slots available to the institute under the Scheme. The online applications for the shortlisted candidates must be forwarded by the institutes to this Department by 31st October, 2017. No application for the grant of Scholarship would be entertained without Aadhar and it should be seeded with the bank account of the beneficiaries.
