The Post Matric Scholarships provides post-matric and higher level of education for Scheduled Caste students.

Scholarship For ST
The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the Scheduled Tribe students studying at post matriculation or post-secondary stage to enable them to complete their education
These scholarships are available for studies in India only and are awarded by the Government of the State/Union Territory Administration.
Conditions of Eligibility
(i) The scholarships are open to nationals of India.
(ii) These scholarships will be given for the study of all recognised postmatriculation for post-secondary courses pursued in recognised institutions.
“Scholarships are not awarded for training courses like Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Courses and Private Pilot Licence courses, courses at Training – Ship Dufferin (Now Rajendra), courses of training at the Military College, Dehradun and courses at pre-examination training centres of all India and State levels.”
(iii) Only those candidates who belong to Scheduled Tribes and who have passed the Matriculation or Higher.
(iv) Candidates who after passing one stage of education are studying in the same stage of education in a different subject e.g. I.Sc after I.A. or B.Com after B.A. or M.A. in other subject will not be eligible.
(v) Students who, after having completed their educational career in one professional line, wish to study for another profession e.g. LLB after B.T./B.Ed. will not be eligible. From the academic year 1980-81, however, studies in two professional courses are allowed.
(vi) Students studying in Class XI of Higher Secondary Schools which have a continues school course of 12th class will not be eligible.
However, in cases where the X class examination of such courses is treated as equivalent to Matriculation and students after passing tenth class can join other courses, such students will be treated as post-matric students and will be eligible for the award of scholarships.

94xxxxxxxx. This is the phone number of the person who is handling the SC ST scholarship for 2014 to 2015. But he doesn't know how to talk to students. I think he has taken money from some broker. That's why they are planning to sanction the amount in college account but we didn't get any details from the college. So many colleges received the student scholarship but colleges are not saying that because college has other benefits. So many students have given own money to college but they don't want to return it. That is why colleges are not saying that they received scholarship one month ago. Now also we didn't get any notice how Bihar government is sending scholarship without student details. There is no mention of student's name also. But colleges are receiving scholarship. That means that SC ST welfare is taking some black money from broker. That's why they are sending without any information about student. How can I explain what wrong things are going on in Bihar welfare office?
Why SC ST welfare is taking long time for sanctioning the scholarship? How are they working in welfare office? Some time back, I made a call to SC ST welfare office to know about the scholarship status. But they don't know how to talk to student. Students are the future of our India and if they are not satisfied due to this reason of financial problem for the study, then all of you know what they can do.
