Under the scheme, non-plan and centrally sponsored scheme for providing scholarship to the students of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes who are studying in post-entry classes.
Under this scheme, there is a provision to give scholarship in accordance with the rules and rates prescribed by the Central Government to the student / student studied in recognized colleges / universities / institutes in accordance with the rules of government.
Post Matric Scholarship for SC
** The Post Matric Scholarships provides financila assistance to Scheduled Caste students to complete their post-matric and higher level of education.
** The Scheme provides for 100 per cent Central Assistance to the State Governments and UT Administrations over and above the respective committed liability of the State/UT.
** The scheme presently covers over 30 lakh Scheduled Caste students.
Post Matric Scholarship for ST
i. The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the Scheduled Tribe students studying at post matriculation or post-secondary stage to enable them to complete their education.
ii. These scholarships are available for studies in India only.
About us :
An April, established in effect in 2007 for being overall development of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes by the state government from the previous Welfare Department.
Through this department, many types of special programs are being run for the economic, educational and social upliftment of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
After independence went announcement was given the tenor of the Democratic Republic of India by the nation and the Constitution that maintain personal independence and dignity of each individual State its first duty. To ensure this, the right to equality in the Constitution has been made the fundamental right.
But Indian society structure and there are rampant racial discrimination and given the inequality of conditions was directed by Magyam Policy Directive Principles of the Constitution that has taken drastic steps to eliminate it Go and class neglected and exploited for centuries, they Run a comprehensive program to get social, economic and political justice.
