1. Applicants must have an email id.
2. Visit the website www.megscholarship.gov.in
3. First do Registration by click on “New Student Registration”.

4. Read the Instructions and click on “Show Registration Form.”
5. Fill the online application form and submit.
6. The System will generate a One Time Pin (OTP) and it will be mail to your email address.
7. Open your email.
8. Go back to the MOSP website and click “log in”.
9. Use your email id as a User Id and Password received from scholarship Portal to activate your account.
10. Upload photograph and other documents like income certificate/ caste certificate (Optional).
11. Click on “Apply for Scholarship” by filling other details online like Institution details, courses details, bank details etc.
12. Save your Online Application as a Draft.
13. Lock the Draft Application only when you’re sure that all information is correct. (lock means submitting to the institution level)
14. After locking the application take a print out of the Bar coded Scholarship Report.
15. Submit the Bar coded Scholarship Report to your School/College/University/institute and attached along with the Income certificate, ST certificate and Education certificate.
16. Check the Status of your application online

Why is our State Government providing scholarship amount at a very low rate. In other states they get the same amount monthly which is equivalent to our annual scholarship amount. Moreover it does not cover our basic tuition fees. We have not received our scholarship amount for the past two years.
