NTR Videshi Vidyadharana Financial assistance for BC Students for pursuing Higher studies in Post Graduate Courses in Foreign Universities from the year 2016-17 – Guidelines – Issued.

Guidelines

1. Government of Andhra Pradesh have made substantial investments through providing Post-Matric Scholarships to BC students on a Saturation basis. This laudable initiative over the years has encouraged a large number of BC students to complete professional Courses and other Graduate Courses.

2. Government in Social Welfare Department have issued orders introducing a New Scheme “Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi” to SC students duly examined by the Nodal Agency in its meeting on 13.03.2013 & 04.05.2013 & recommended for inclusion under SCSP 2013-14 to the State Council.

The State Council in its meeting on 21.05.2013 has approved the proposal for inclusion under SCSP 2013-14 and in pursuance of the approval by the State Council with a view to enable the benefit of Higher Education in Foreign Universalities to meritorious SC students there by providing them an opportunity for better career prospects within the Country and abroad.

3. The Hon’ble Minister for BC Welfare has instructed to formulate a scheme on the lines of Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi for BC students also.

4. A proposal is submitted herewith to Government in respect of BCs for sanction of the scheme ” NTR Videshi Vidyadharana ” Financial Assistance for BC students from the year 2016-17 on the same lines of “ Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi” being implemented for SC students.

5. “NTR Videshi Vidyadharana” will be sanctioned to 1000 BC students every year and is open to all eligible BC student graduates to pursue Post Graduate studies abroad subject to the following guidelines:

Income

BC Students whose family income is less than Rs.6.00 lakh per annum from all sources are eligible. In Social Welfare scheme, the income limit is Rs.6.00 lakh. Total income from all sources of the employed candidates or his/her parents/guardians, shall not exceed Rs.6.00 lakhs per annum.

In all cases the income certificate must be obtained through MEE SEVA. A copy of the latest Tax Assessment as well as the latest they salary slip from the employer is also required to be enclosed with the application.

Qualification

(1) For Post Graduate Course:
Degree in Engineering / Management / Pure Sciences /Agriculture Sciences / Medicine & Nursing /Social Sciences/Humanities.

(2) For PhD Course:
** P.G course in Engineering / Management / Pure Sciences / Agriculture Sciences / Medicine / Social Sciences/ Humanities.
** PG courses includes PG Diploma courses of One year, and One and Half year duration.
** The scheme includes the study of CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and CPM (Certified Portfolio Manger) courses in the US, since they are equivalent to Chartered Accountancy (CA) / Cost Accounting (CA) courses in India.

 One Child in a family one time Award:
Not more than one child of the same parents / guardian’s will be eligible and to this effect a self certification will be required from the candidate. The awardee cannot be considered for the second or subsequent times as the individual can be awarded only once in a life time.

 Countries eligible under the Scheme: USA, UK, Australia, Canada,
Singapore, Germany, New Zealand, Sweden, Netherlands, France,
Denmark, Russia, Philippines, Kazakhstan and China (Philippines,
Kazakhstan and China only for medicine).

 Age:
The Maximum age under the scheme shall not exceed 35 years as on 1st July of the year of advertisement.

Mandatory Requirements

(i) He/She should have a valid TOEFL/IELTS & GRE/GMAT.
(ii) He/She should have obtained admission in an accredited Foreign University.
(iii) He/she should possess a valid Passport.
(iv) The Candidates are required to make their own efforts in seeking admission in accredited University/Institution abroad.

    Applied for the overseas
    Scholarship for ebc and done with counselling and everything is finished. My status is showing that money is released but it is almost more than 4 months but money is not credited into account. I dont know what to do ? Does anyone facing the same problem?

  • I have graduated in B.Pharmacy in 2019.I have bonafide certificate when I was in 3rd year.Is it sufficient for applying scholarship?

  • I haven't received my i20 yet, but many of them already applied. I think we can even use admission letter also it seems. I am not aware of that. What would be the last date to submit the application as I am not having the documents ready, it takes 1-2 weeks to get them ready. Will that be fine? (or) can I submit some documents now and later we can re-upload them once I had original documents.

    • First submit the documents what you have. Fill the application then they send a mail (or) call to you.

  • I have applied and got application number also, but no communication. When the counselling will schedule for 2018-19 students? No mail communication till this time, but in today's news paper that counselling occurs today only, is it true, if so where to contact? Please send the contact details immediately.

  • I am a BC candidate. What are the documents needed to be carried for counseling? Is study certificate fine for passed out candidates (or) Bonafide certificate required?

  • I filled the total application for Overseas scholarship for EBC students category, after clicked on submit application, I did not get any ePass ID (or) application number. Can we get the application number (or) ePass ID immediately after filled application and submitted? I checked in know your application number (or) ePass ID but it shows student record not found. Please help me and Please reply comment who knows this issue, it help me a lot.

    • Wait for some time after submitting the application, otherwise just go to the another browser and check in the print here application with your details.

  • I applied for the scholarship and I was interviewed on 23/September/2018 in Vijayawada. Till now I didn't get an update. My application displays "Application Registered". How can I come to know that I was selected?

      Students Eligible :
      ** Students who belong to the categories of SC,ST whose annual parental income is Rs. Two Lakhs or below and BC,EBC,Disabled Welfare Students whose parental income is RS. One lakh or below.
      ** Students whose attendance is 75% at the end of each quarter.
