Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on NSP Scholarship Payment
How can I check whether the amount of my scholarship is credited in my bank account or not?
Answer : You may check the transaction status on PFMS portal i.e. pfms.nic.in under “Know Your Payment PFMS” option on the home page.
What should I do for the successful payment of scholarship in my bank account?
Answer : Please keep your bank account active to receive the scholarship amount. Confirm from your bank that your account is not Closed. Please note that in case of transaction failure/return of scholarship amount, there is no way for repayment.
What is Aadhaar Based Payment?
Answer : Applicants/Students who have entered Aadhaar in their online application correctly and Aadhaar seeded with any of their bank account, in such cases the amount of scholarship will be credited to that Aadhaar seeded bank account only.
What instructions should be followed by student while filling up Bank Account details?
Answer :
(i) Students must select their bank/branch name carefully from the drop down list.
(ii) Thereafter the complete Saving Bank Account no. must be entered correctly. If bank details entered by students are found incorrect, the scholarship amount will not be transferred.
(iii) IFS Code must be selected/submitted correctly from drop down list.
(iv) Bank Account holder must check their ‘Know your Customer’ (KYC) status from bank.
(v) Bank Account must be active till you receive your scholarship amount.
(vi) Bank Account must be preferably in any Scheduled Bank (as per Reserve Bank of India list) with core banking facility.
(vii) In case of Post Matric and Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship Schemes for minorities, the Bank Account must be in name of applicant/student only.
In case of Pre-Matric scholarship scheme, the Bank Account may be in the name of either applicant/student or the applicant can have a joint account with his/her mother/father/guardian as indicated in the application.
(viii) Student must submit their application with Aadhaar number and it should be linked with their bank account to receive the scholarship amount.

I have been receiving the scholarship over last 3 years. Currently I am pursuing my final year of B.tech. The problem is though my Aadhar is linked with my bank account I haven't received the amount yet. And all of my friends whose have "City Union Bank" accounts given haven't received the scholarship but very few who have Bank Of India or IOB have got the amount.
Considering the present tough times we sincerely request you to look into the issue and take necessary actions to solve it at the earliest possible and help us economically.

What does it means???
The scholarship details has to get verified by the college first and then this details are sent respective state board where they verify your 12th class details and if the given data matches with the data they have they will send your application to PFMS for payment.

Once it is pushed to PFMS, you can check the status in the PFMS portal. Go to the URL pfms.nic.in , Click on 'Track NSP Payments' and enter the details. THe current status would be shown there.
Generally, it takes around 1-2 months after the payment is pushed to the PFMS to get your scholarship in your bank account

i also have same problem.I think the problem is adhar is not linked with bank account.so, once visit your branch office and ask for adhar seeding form and fill and submit it in bank.then it takes a couple of days to complete adhar bank linking.then you have chances of getting scholarship.

2018-19 scholarship is not credited till OCT 24,2019 but why??????????
as we have seen that in the last year the amount was credited within July 2018
so, why this year is too late??? as the status shown "PAYMENT DETAILS HAS BEEN ACCEPTED BY THE PFMS FOR THE PAYMENT PROCESSING" And this line is showing from June,2019.
