Eligibility of JKLU & HSB B.Des Scholarship-cum-Admission
Eligibility for Bachelor of Design:
** Minimum 60% aggregate in Class XII, comprising English and three other subjects (excluding internal marks contributing 50%+).
** Marks from recognised Central, State, or AIU-approved foreign boards will be considered.
** Foreign Nationals, PIOs, and Non-Resident Indians are eligible based on Class XII or equivalent marks.
** Final-year Class XII students may apply, with admission being provisional, subject to meeting minimum eligibility criteria.
** All applicants must appear for the JK-DET entrance examination as part of the admission process.
Eligibility for Master of Design:
** Students must have secured 60% marks, or an equivalent CGPA, in a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
** Students appearing for their final Bachelor’s degree exam can also apply.
** All applicants must appear for the JK-DET entrance examination as a mandatory requirement for admission eligibility.
Benefits of JKLU & HSB B.Des Scholarship-cum-Admission
Merit-Based Scholarships:
** Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of Class XII scores, the JK Design Entrance Test (JK-DET), and portfolio assessment.
** Class XII percentage of 50% or above is required, comprising English and three other subjects chosen by the applicant.
Class XII Marks:
** 50% scholarship for marks above 90%.
** 25% scholarship for marks between 80% and 89.99%.
JK-DET Score:
** 50% scholarship for a JK-DET score above 90.
** 25% scholarship for a JK-DET score above 80.
Portfolio:
** 25% scholarship for a portfolio score of 4 or higher.
National Design Entrance Examinations:
** Applicants exceeding the cut-off for JK-DET, NID, NIFT, or UCEED will be eligible for a 25% scholarship, specific to each exam.
Other Scholarships:
** Alumni or Sibling: 20% scholarship for students with an alumni or sibling connection at JKLU.
** Single Girl Child: 10% scholarship for single girl children with no siblings.
** Special Category: 10% scholarship for students from special categories, including defence personnel, differently abled individuals, and candidates from Jammu and Kashmir, etc.
** Sports and Other Achievements: Scholarships available for students with exceptional achievements in sports or other recognised fields.
Scholarship Considerations
** Allocation: If a student qualifies for multiple scholarships, only the highest value scholarship will be awarded.
** Continuation: Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance.
