What is KSHEC Kerala Higher Education UG Scholarship?
Higher Education Scholarship Scheme is sponsored by Kerala State Higher Education Council. One thousand first year undergraduate students who pursue studies in science, humanities, social science, and business study streams in Government/Aided Colleges and Universities of the State are selected for the scholarships every year. Last date of application is 28th February 2026.
Eligibility Criteria of KSHEC Kerala Higher Education UG Scholarship
To be eligible for the Kerala State Higher Education Council Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:-
** Be a resident of Kerala
** Have completed their higher secondary education from a recognized board or equivalent
** Have secured admission in a recognized college or university in Kerala
** Have a family income not exceeding INR 2 lakhs per annum
How To Apply For KSHEC Kerala Higher Education UG Scholarship?
To apply For KSHEC Kerala Higher Education UG Scholarship, Follow the below steps
Students Registration:
Students need to visit https://scholarship.kshec.kerala.gov.in If you are a new user, click on the Student Registration link in the Register/Login menu on the homepage. You will be redirected to the Student Onetime Registration Page.
Fill in the following details:
** Name
** Aadhaar Number
** Email
** Phone Number
** Date of Birth
** Password and Confirm Password
Upon successful registration, you will receive an SMS confirmation on the registered phone number. The Phone Number, Email Address, and Aadhaar Number must be unique.
Student Login:
Newly registered users can log in by clicking the Student Login menu under the Register/Login menuon the homepage. Students should log in using the registered email ID and password set during registration. Upon successful login, students will be redirected to the Student Homepage
Student Dashboard Menu:
On the left side of the Student Homepage, the following menu options will be available:
1. Home
2. Profile
3. Add Qualification
4. Apply for Scholarship
5. Submitted Application
6. Logout
Completing Student Profile:
First-time users must complete their profile by clicking the Profile menu. The profile section includes:
** Basic Profile
** Family Details
** Permanent & Present Address
** Bank Details
** Institution Details
Adding Qualification Details:
Click on the Add Qualification menu and enter the qualification details. Upload the necessary certificates in PDF format (size less than 200KB).
Applying for a Scholarship:
After completing the Profile and Qualification sections, students can submit the scholarship application.
Steps:
1. Click on the Apply for Scholarship menu.
2. You will be redirected to the Application Form.
3. Fill in the required details (some fields will be pre-filled based on the profile data). Note: If any updates are required, students must update their profile before submitting the application.
4. An Application Preview will be displayed.
5. If all details are correct, click the Final Submit button to forward the application to the college.
6. Students can generate a printout of the application.
7. Viewing Submitted Applications:
Submitted applications can be viewed under the Submitted Application menu
Note:
The procedures followed right from the submission of application for selection and to the disbursal of scholarships would be simple, transparent and prompt. The application for scholarship should be submitted on-line by the student concerned in the format available in the website of the Higher Education Council.
Applicants are also required to produce the relevant certificates/mark lists in original to the Principal of the college/Head of the university department where he/she undergoes his/her course of study along with a printout of the filled-in application form. In case of SC/ST/ Physically challenged students and students belonging to BPL families, a certificate of such status obtained from the competent authority should be produced along with the certificates to prove educational qualifications.
