What is G.P Birla Scholarship?
G. P. Birla Scholarship 2025 is an initiative of the G.P. Birla Educational Foundation for meritorious students from West Bengal and Jharkhand, who have passed the class 12 examination in the year 2025. Selected candidates will receive a scholarship worth ₹50,000 per year and other benefits. The selection process is rigorous and impartial, ensuring that only students with exceptional academic merit and genuine financial need receive the scholarship. Last date of application is 15th July 2025.
Eligibility of G.P Birla Scholarship
The G P Birla Educational Foundation Scholarship is awarded to meritorious students from West Bengal and Jharkhand, who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement in their Class XII examinations. The scholarship provides financial assistance for tuition fees and hostel fees (where applicable), enabling students to focus on their education without financial stress.
Eligibility Requirements:
1.Applicants must be domiciled from West Bengal or Jharkhand.
2.Applicants must have passed Class XII in 2025.
3.Minimum academic requirements:
** 85% or above in WBCHSE/JAC examinations.
** 90% or above in ISC/CBSE examinations.
4.Family income should not exceed ₹3,00,000 per year.
5.Exceptionally meritorious students may be considered even if the income limit exceeds the criteria, based on the Trustees’ discretion.
6.Students must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree course at a recognized university or institution in India.
Benefits of G.P Birla Scholarship
** Covers college tuition fees and hostel fees (where applicable), subject to ceiling of ₹50,000/- per year.
** An additional one time book grant of ₹7,000, in the first year.
** Renewable annually, subject to the student’s satisfactory academic performance.
** Support continues until the completion of the undergraduate course, for a maximum of four years.
