Students who have passed(10+2)Board examination(WBCHSE/CBSE/ISC)in the year 2020 and are studying/aspiring to study Science(Hons)/BS-MS/Engg./Medicine in West Bengal.

Step 3 : Read the instructions carefully before you are applying.
Step 4 : If you are ready with these above mentioned documents, start your application for JBNSTS STST / BKMB 2020 by clicking in the tab “Apply online for SENIOR TALENT SEARCH TEST”
Step 5 : Fill the application form with the required details and click on “Online Payment” button to complete your transactions.
Offline Application
Steps :
Step 1 : Visit the official website of JBNSTS through provided above.
Step 2 : Next, click on “Offline application for Senior Talent Search / Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti – 2020” link in the home page.
Step 3 : Download the application form and fill the application form with the required details
Step 4 : Following documents (along with the completely filled in application form) should be sent to JBNSTS office, 1300 Rajdanga Main Road, Kasba, Kolkata – 700 107, on or before 22nd November, 2020.

Online Application :
Please keep the following documents ready before you start your online application
1. Scan copy of 10th standard examination pass out mark sheet in jpeg / pdf format [ size – 1 MB].
2. Scan copy of class XI Admission Proof in jpeg / pdf format [ size – 1 MB]. (Fees book / Letter from HM / Principal / Identity Card / Library Card) (Submit if available, although it is not mandatory under this pandemic situation)
3. Scan copy of Admit card of secondary examination in jpeg / pdf format [ size – 1 MB].
4. Scanned image of your signature in jpeg format ([ Signature size – Width 160 x height 100 pixels]*) [size – 15 KB].
5. Your high resolution recent passport size photograph in jpeg format ([ Photo size – Width 160 x height 190 pixels ]*) [size – 15 KB].
Offline Application :
(i) Recent passport size photograph to be affixed in the box provided in the application form.
(ii) Photocopy of the original mark sheet of 10th standard / equivalent examination.
(iii) Photocopy of the admit card for 10th standard examination.
(iv) Bank draft of Rs.100/- (non-refundable) payable at Kolkata in favour of “Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search” as examination fee.
v) Proof of class XI admission (submit if available, however it is not mandatory)
Payment Option
1. Application fee for JBNSTS Junior Talent Search Examination is Rs. 100.00

Refund / Cancellation Policy
Fee once paid will not be refunded. However, if there is any excess payment for any reason whatsoever, the student may file his/her claim with the Director, Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search at jbnsts [AT] jbnsts.ac.in
Admit Card
Admit card and other details of examination will be sent to your email address (provided by you in this application form)

Test Pattern
Written Test question pattern :
** Duration: 3 hours
** Full marks: 100.
** Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
** Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (any 3 subjects to be answered)
** All questions are to be answered, with negative marking for wrong answer.
Section-A : 75 marks
10 questions X 2.5 marks each (for each subject) (Total 30 questions for 3 subjects are to be answered)
Award of Marks for each question:
** Correct Answer: 2.5 Marks will be awarded
** Wrong Answer: 1 Mark will be deducted
** Not Attempted: 0 Mark will be awarded
Section-B :
** 5 questions X 5 marks each ( from any one subject)
** Award of Marks for each question:
** Correct Answer: 5 Marks will be awarded
** Wrong Answer: 2 Marks will be deducted
** Not Attempted: 0 Mark will be awarded
Financial Benefits
For Senior Scholars :
Rs. 4000/-per month & Annual Book Grant : Rs. 5000/-for 4/5 years (till completion of B.Tech/ BE/ MBBS/ BS-MS/M.Sc).
For Bigyani Kanyamedha Britti :
Rs.2000 per month and annual Book grant of Rs.2000 for four/five years(till completion of B.Tech/BE/MBBS/BS-MS/M.Sc).
