Sant Gadge Baba National Research Fellowships (GBNRF):
Sant Gadge Baba was a saintly social reformer, a wandering mendicant, a public teacher, a traveller carrying his trademark broom cleaning villages on his way and conducting discourses in the form of “Kirtans” in which he would emphasize values like service to humanity and compassion and educate people against blind faiths and rituals. His reforms and visions for villages are still a source of inspiration for various organizations. In commemoration of one of the great social reformers of Maharashtra and a sant who worked untiringly for upliftment of the poor and needy, BARTI invites applications from Scheduled Caste candidates of Maharashtra for the Award of M.Phil. / Ph.D. Fellowships. The fellowship scheme is formulated and funded by BARTI and named as “Sant Gadge Baba National Research Fellowship (GBNRF)”

For the year 2016, BARTI invites applications from Scheduled Caste candidates of Maharashtra State for the Award of M. Phil. / Ph.D. Fellowships. The fellowships are open to Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates belonging to Maharashtra, who wish to pursue regular and fulltime M. Phil. and Ph.D. degrees, in any subject, from Indian Universities / Institutions / Colleges approved under Section 2(f) and 12(B) of the

Number Of Fellowships :
Twenty Five (25) M. Phil. / Ph.D. fellowships will be awarded this year.

Reservations :
Thirteen (13) fellowships for women.
One (1) fellowship for Persons with Disability.
This number may increase or decrease..

Eligibility :
SC Candidates having PG degree as on the date of the application.

Important, Please Note :
As stated in the revised guidelines of the fellowships, if the candidate is pursuing an integrated M.Phil./ Ph. D. Programme (2+3 years), then candidate has to apply for the fellowship through a separate application for M.Phil. as well as Ph.D.

How To Apply:
** Eligible and interested candidates may send their applications in the prescribed format downloadable from website barti.maharashtra.gov.in (click on NOTICE BOARD >GBNRF – 2016).
** The candidate should enclose attested copies of all necessary documents along with the duly filled application and Research Proposal including concept note containing research details, etc. in about 2000 words and send by Registered Post to the Director General, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research & Training Institute, 28, Queen’s Garden, Camp, Pune – 411 001.
** Candidates must superscribe the name of the fellowship as GBNRF on the Envelope enclosing the application and other requisite documents.
** Completed applications along with all necessary documents and research proposals should reach the above office on 21st November 2015.
