Know About Grants

Eligibility:
** Students pursuing post-matric courses approved by the university / board
** Students admitted under merit and reservation quota
** Students who belong to the categories of Scheduled castes, other eligible communities, OBCs and other communities who are socially and economically backward including forward castes
** Students whose attendance is not below 75% at the end of each month

Stipend Rates:
For Scheduled castes and OEC’s:
Below 8kms from residence Rs.500/-
Above 8 kms RS 600/-
Students undergoing professional courses and reside at their own due or lack of hostel facility Rs.1500/-

For OBC’s:
Undergoing +2 course: Rs.160/-
Under going PG and Professional courses:
Day scholars. Rs.200/-
Hostellers Rs.250/-

Polytechnic course:
Day scholars Rs.100/-
Hostellers Rs.150/-

For others undergoing PG and professional courses and polytechnic Courses same as in the case of SEBC

Submission of Applications :
1. Applications can be submitted in the official Website. (e-grantz.kerala.gov.in)
2. Students can also submit applications online through Akshaya e-centers elsewhere in the state.
3. The services in the Akshaya centres are free.
4. Students should submit their application along with certificates within a week of admission.
5. Students who undergo subsequent year of a course need not submit applications.

I applied for Egrantz OBC scholarship in July. Now I am studying first year of PG diploma in Orthopaedics. But I didn’t get scholarship so far. My principal had forwarded the application 4 months back. When will the scholarship be sanctioned?
You can check your application status  using the details like Institution,SSLC Number etc. It may give you a clear idea about your scholarship

I would like to know if e-grant is stopped for OBC students. I didn’t get my scholarship so for.
Status report will be updated periodically in the official website. You can check the same under Reports tab which is available in home page. Now Status Report for the Academic Year 2017 – 2018 as on 20/03/2018 is available.

Please confirm me whether e-grants and OBC scholarships can be applied online anywhere.
Scholarship online application link is available in the e-grantz website. You can access the portal anywhere and apply. If you are a new user, apply as new entry and create an egrantz Account Number.

I am not able to take print out of the application. What else I can do?
