Sukhdevji Maharaj of Saongi Memorial Scholarship 2015-16:
The Institute of Science, Nagpur is pleased to announce the “Sukhdevji Maharaj of Saongi Memorial Scholarship” instituted by Late Dr. Dadi Balsara from this year ( 2015-16)onwards. The scholarship will consist of a GOLD MEDAL and approximately Rs.50,000 (or more) in cash.

The scholarship is applicable to students who have passed B.Sc examination in Summer 2015
1 The scholarship will be awarded to students from undergraduate programs( who have passed B.Sc in summer 2015) with the following subjects:
1.Chemistry
2. Physics
3. Botany
4. Zoology
5. Statistics
6. Mathematics.

Note:
1. To be eligible for the scholarship, a student should have secured at least 60% marks at the graduate examination and studied all the three years in Institute of Science only.
2. The concerned student should not have cleared any previous /current examination using ATKT rules or grace marks.
3. The concerned student must have passed the examination in first attempt itself.
4. A student securing the highest marks in each of the six subjects mentioned above at the B.Sc I,II and III examinations taken together will be awarded the scholarship. i.e there will be six medals and an equal number of cash prizes for each of the six subjects. A student may bag a medal ( and cash prize ) in more than one subject.
5. To be considered for the scholarship, the eligible student will necessarily have to apply in the prescribed format available in the Dept.of Statistics .
6. If an eligible student fails to apply , he/she will not be considered for the scholarship.

How To Apply:
The application form ,complete in all respects must be submitted along with all relevant documents like attested marklists, merit certificate ( if any) etc to Dr.K.S.Bhanu, Head, Department of Statistics.
