C.H. MuhammedKoya Scholarship Renewal :

The State Minority Welfare Department has invited applications for renewing scholarships from Muslim, Latin Catholic or converted Christian girls who received the C.H. Muhammad Koya scholarship in the 2014-15 academic year and are permanent residents of Kerala.

Graduate students will get Rs.4,000 each, postgraduate girls will get Rs.5,000, those doing professional courses Rs.6,000, and 2,000 girls will get Rs.12,000 each as hostel stipend every year.

Applicants should not have secured less than 50 per cent marks in the qualifying examination and their annual family income should be less than Rs.6 lakh.

Girls living in hostels run by the educational institution they are studying in or private hostels recognized by the head of the institution can apply for the stipend. Applications can be submitted online on the website minority welfare

A print of the registration form obtained after submitting the application and relevant documents should be submitted to the head of the institution.

Eligibility Details :
Rate and Number of Scholarships:
** Under Graduates: Rs. 4,000/- per annum (3,000 Nos).
** Post Graduates: Rs. 5,000/- per annum (1,000 Nos).
** Professional Courses: Rs. 6,000/- per annum (1,000 Nos).
** Hostel Stipend: Rs. 12,000/- per annum (2,000 Nos).
** Those Who Are Eligible For Hostel Stipend Will Not Be Eligible For Scholarship.

Eligibility Conditions:
** Should belong to MUSLIM , Latin, Converted Christian community and should be a native of Kerala.
** Should be a GIRL student studying for the first year of Graduation or Higher courses in Govt./ Aided Institution.
** students who got admission to Self financing colleges from merit seat are also eligible to apply for this scholarship.
** Should have scored 50% or above in the qualifying Examination.
** Family Annual income should not exceed 4.50 Lakhs.
** Those who apply for Hostel stipend should be staying in recognized hostels.

  • I am a second year bsc student. I missed to renew my ch mohammed koya scholarship as I was in bed rest after met with an accident. I broke my ankle and in between I forgot to renew my scholarship. Is there any chance that I can get it? This scholarship means a lot to me.

      What happens, if I detect mistakes after forwarding the applications to the institutes?
      Answer:You should intimate the institution regarding the mistakes. The institution can revert the verification status, which allows you to edit the details. Correct the details, take the print out and resubmit the print out to the institution for online verification.
