Who Can Apply?
All students passing out of Class IV with 85% or above marks in aggregate only are eligible to appear for the selection test.

Scholarship Categories
Nava Nalanda Group of Schools provides following scholarships for Kolkata Chapter
Arya Mitra Scholarship :
This scholarship is given to the best three students judged by their performance in Cl-IV annual examination and a separate examination held after the annual results, both being taken into account for determination of the ranks.
The students are eligible for a waiver on their Tuition fees till Cl-X provided they secure 80% and above marks in all preceding annual examinations.
Vidyasagar & Nalanda Scholarships :
Students securing 90% and more marks in aggregate in the Madhyamik examinations are awarded Vidyasagar Scholarship while those securing 85% and above but less than 90% are awarded Nalanda Scholarship.
Bharati Mitra Memorial Scholarship :
The student securing highest marks in aggregate in the Madhyamik examination from this school and who enrols in the Higher Secondary section of this school is given full waiver on his/her total fees for Cl-XI.
NRI Alumni Scholarship :
The student securing the highest marks in aggregate in Cl-XI annual examinations is given full waiver on his/her total fees for Cl-XII irrespective of whether the student has passed the Madhyamik examinations from this school or not.
Nalanda Ratna :
For an extra-ordinary achievement in any field, academics or sports or cultural, by a student in his/her school life, the student is awarded a cash prize alongwith citation and gifts.

NAVA NALANDA, aiming to be a centre of ideal education, launched upon its ambitious career on 1.2.67 in a rented building at 25, Southern Avenue (Meghnad Saha Sarani), Kolkata – 700 026 on the initiative of a group of educationists and enthusiastic workers, headed by Mr. Arya Mitra, Founder Rector, and Mrs. Bharati Mitra, Founder Headmistress. Its opening-day rolls recorded 24 students and 9 teachers, including the Headmistress.
