KSCSTE Kerala SPYTiS
KSCSTE invites applications in prescribed format from eligible students under SPYTiS (Scheme for Promoting Young talents in Science ) for the year 2018.

Objectives
(i) Identify and nurture young talents among school children to carry out science projects (SPYTiS- I)
Under the scheme, a group consisting of 2 or more students of Class VIII-XII from a school will be selected for the award (Rs.5,000/-) for doing a science project. The duration of the project is one year.
(ii) Provide research support to young talents enrolled in polytechnic colleges and undergraduate courses in colleges for doing science projects (SPYTiS-II)
Under the scheme, the students who have innovative ideas in science & technology and enrolled in polytechnic colleges and undergraduate courses in colleges will be provided financial assistance of Rs.10,000/- for conducting projects.
Who Can Apply?
Students from schools, polytechnic colleges and those admitted to undergraduate level courses in colleges (Proposals from students enrolled in professional courses will not be considered under SPYTiS). They shall apply under Student Project scheme for financial assistance

Step 2 : Then select Schemes & Programmes in the menu bar and Click HR – Development in S&T -> Scheme For Promoting Young Talents In Science in the drop down list.
Step 3 : Read the instructions carefully and download the application form at the end of the page.

Note :
The sanctioned grant will be released only after the successful completion of the project, followed by submission of final report, SE & UC
Features
Under both schemes, grant will be sanctioned to the host institution and the student has to work under the guidance/supervision of a teacher. The awardees shall be requested to participate in a Science Talent Fair, Children Science Congress or Kerala Science Congress organized by KSCSTE for presenting their projects/findings
