State Education Research and Training Council, Bihar, invites applications for NTSE National Talent Search Exam 2019.

The National Talent Search Examination will be conducted for students studying at the Class X level. The aim of this scheme is to explore talented students and nurture their talent.

Who Can Apply?

** All students studying in class X in 2018-19 are eligible to join this examination
** In the school / institute students are studying in the state of Bihar Necessary.
** There will be no domicile restriction.

** There is no age or income limit set for this. For students registered with distance learning the maximum age is 18 years fixed.
** Students receiving scholarships under the National Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship Scheme may be included in the exam

Step 2 : Download the application form from the official website or you can directly download it from the below mentioned link.

Step 3 : Read the instruction carefully and Fill the application form with the required details.
Step 4 : The completed application form should be sent to the head of the institution.

Note :
It is the responsibility of the candidate and the Principal of the school to deposit the filled in form with the Distt. Education Officer before the last date.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on two levels of written examination. Preliminary Examination – It is organized at the state level by SCERT, Patna.) Main examination – at the national level (organized by NCERT, New Delhi.)

Successful students of the preliminary examination will be involved in the main exam. Successful students will be selected for the scholarship in the main examination

Number of scholarships :
The number of scholarships at the national level is 1000. For the preliminary examination, in the year 2019, the state of Bihar will be determined by the quota N.C.E.R.T., New Delhi.

Reservation

The provision of reservation under this scholarship scheme is as follows
(1) Scheduled Caste-16%,
(2) Scheduled Tribes – 1%,
(3) Backward Classes-27%,.
(4) Disabled – 4%.

Exam Fee :
The fee for this examination is as follows –
1. General and backward class – Rs 100.00 (one hundred rupees)
2. Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe and Disabled – Rs. 50.00 (fifty rupees)

The prescribed examination fee will be deposited by the cash to the Principal of its school by the students.

Important Instruction

** Read Instructions carefully before filling up the Application Form
** Use only Blue or Black Ball Point Pen. WRITE IN CAPITAL LETTERS. Do not mark or write outside the boxes.
** Leave one box blank between two words. Limit your name and/ or address within the space provided for it.

** No. request for condoning delay in submission will be entertained whether it is due to the fault of the Candidate or the Headmaster/Principal of his/her institution.
** Incomplete or defective applications are liable to be rejected.

** 4% Reservation for Physically Challenged Group of Students, with benchmark disabilities of which, one per cent each shall be reserved for Persons with benchmark disabilities under clauses (1), (2) and (3) and one per cent for persons with benchmark disabilities under clauses (4) and (5) namely

i. Blindness and low vision (BLV) ;
ii. Deaf and hard of hearing (DH) ;
iii. Loco-motor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy, cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular Dystrophy (LD)

iv. Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness (AID) ;
v. Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (1) to (4) including deaf-blindness in the posts identified for each disabilities’ (MD) ;
vi. No Disability

** Distt. Code, Centre Code and Sl. No. will be filled in by the SCERT.
