Department of Higher Education invites online applications for Central Sector Scheme Of Scholarships For College & University Students 2019-20.

Central Sector Scholarship Scheme provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low income families to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies.

Note :
** Re-validation for Central Sector Schemes for State of Jammu and Kashmir is extended till 15th March 2020.
** Institute level Verification dates for Central sector schemes for the State of Jammu and Kashmir is open till 7th March, 2020.

** District/ State / Ministry level Verification dates for Central sector schemes for the State of Jammu and Kashmir is open till 11th March, 2020.

Eligibility

** Students who are above 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant stream from a particular Board of Examination in Class XII
** The parental/family income ceiling is Rs. 6 lakh per annum for all categories.
** Students pursuing Diploma courses are not eligible under the scheme.
** Not receiving any other scholarship

Reservation Category

Reservations for the various categories are as follows :
** Scheduled Castes (SCs) 15 % ,
** Scheduled Tribes ( STs) 7.5 %,
** Other Backward Classes(OBCs) 27 %
** Horizontally 5 % for Physically Handicapped / Persons(s) with Disabilities (PwDs) in all the categories.

How to Apply?

The scheme is apply through National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Just follow the below steps to apply for the Central Sector Scheme Of Scholarships 2019-20.

Steps :
Step 1 : Go to the official website of National Scholarship Portal through the URL provided above.

Step 2 : Then Select Central Schemes tab and Click on Department of Higher Education link in the drop down list.

Step 3 : After that Click Apply link in the Central Sector Scheme Of Scholarships For College & University Students.

Step 4 : It will redirect to the Login Page. Enter your Application Id, Password and Captcha for Login.

Step 5 : After Login to your account select the Scholarship scheme and fill the required details to apply for the scholarship.
Step 6 : If you are a New User then Click on the Register link in the Login Page.

Step 7 : Enter all required details for registration to get your user id and password. After register your account you can Login and apply the scholarship.

Step 8 : After complete your application you will get a confirmation message to your registered email id & mobile number.

Note :
Students applying from the States of Assam, Bihar and Jharkhand in CENTRAL SECTOR SCHEME OF SCHOLARSHIPS FOR COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY STUDENTS of MHRD(DOHE) are requested to enter their roll code along with their roll no in the application form.
Eg :
Jharkhand – 11066-20XXX format (Rollcode-RollNo)
Assam – 079920XXX format (RollCodeRollNo)
Bihar – 31047-19010XXX format ( Rollcode-RollNo )

Rate Of Scholarships

** The rate of scholarship is Rs.10000/- per annum at Graduation level for first three years of College and University courses and Rs.20000/- per annum at Post- Graduation level.

** Students pursuing professional courses, in case, where the duration of course is five (5) years/Integrated course would get Rs.20000/- per annum in the 4th and 5th year.

Selection Procedure

** The online applications would be verified at two levels
(i) By the Institute where the student is studying.
(ii) By the respective State Education Board.

** Application which is not verified either by the institute or by the concerned State Education Board or by both will be treated as “Invalid‟.
** Merit list as per the State allocated quota would be generated from the verified applications.
