SJSA Maharashtra Post-Matric Scholarship
In order to encourage the VJNT students to undergo Post-Matric Courses, the Government of Maharashtra has introduced a scheme known as the Government of Maharashtra Post-Matric Scholarship to V.J.N.T. students.

Eligibility Criteria
(1)The parents/Guardians whose annual income up to Rs.1.00 lakh can get full scholarship and free ship.
(2) Students engaged in full time employment are not eligible
(3) Repeaters are not eligible for that standard. After passing they are eligible for higher standard.
(4) All children of the same parents are eligible for the Scholarship.
(5) No scholarship will be paid to the students under this scheme from the date he /she accepts another Scholarship / stipend.
Benefits Provided
Eligible V.J.N.T. Students are paid maintenance allowance from Rs. 90 to Rs. 190 per month for hostellers and Rs. 150 to Rs. 425 per month for day scholar students. In addition to maintenance allowance all fees which are compulsorily payable by the students to the institutions are also being paid under the scheme.
Application Process
Scheme is online. Student should go to www.mahaeschool.maharashtra.gov.in and fill the Scholarship application form, upload documents and submit it to concerned college. After scrutiny concerned college should forward his application to concerned Asstt. Comm. Social Welfare for sanction.
Online application is to be filled for the first year of that course only. From Ian year to completion of course, application is renewed by concerned college and forwarded to concerned Asstt. Comm. Social Welfare for sanction.

About SJSA :
Social welfare directorate was created by amalgamating the office of Chief Inspector Certification school and director backward class welfare vide Government Resolution dated 23rd September,1957.
In February 2001 Social welfare, culture affairs and sports department was renamed as Social Justice, Culture affairs and Sports Department. After that it renamed as Social Justice and Special Assistance Department.
