** A directorate of minorities with a vision to enable all the minority groups to lead a productive life with equal opportunities ensuring Socio-Economic Justice & equality & to promote their own literature, culture, peace & harmony came into existence in 1999-2000.
** Formulation & implementation of developmental Socio-economic schemes with special focus on women besides supervision & monitoring of schemes are the main functions of this Directorate.
** The population of Religious minorities is 15.69% of the total population of the state. Muslims, Christians, Jains, Buddhists, Sikhs and Parsis in Karnataka are considered as religious minorities.
** In the Government order No. SWD –BCA 94, dated 17.09.1994 following religious minorities are classified in various Backward groups and are provided reservation in education and employment under Article 15 (4) and 16 (4) of the constitution.

I have applied for scholarship and verified at state level also but not get the scholarship amount yet.
I did not get my scholarship for the year 2014-2015. The scholarship application status shows that amount has been sent to minority office. Till now I didn't get the amount. Please help me.

I am from karnataka state dakshina Kannada dist. Bantwal taluk. My daughter R iya Anisha Rodrigues since last six years she is getting the pre-matric scholarship. Her permanent ID is 1424016806. Last year 2014-15 I submitted her scholarship application along with all documents to her school. And school authorities submitted all relevant documents to BEO office. Till today she not received her scholarship, regarding this when I made the inquiry I came to know that BEO office misplaced the 6th and 7th standard students scholarship application forms. Please let me know whom to blame for this careless. Because of this many of students from Loreto English medium school Bantwal Taluk didn't get their scholarship.. Simply will file one suit against institution and BEO authorities for claiming scholarship authorities with one good advocate who is not taking fee, for challenging you has to file a case, this will teaches lesson for others in future
