Scholarship Policy:

Merit based Scholarship: Scholarships are awarded to the meritorious students based on the following criteria

1st semester: The following students are eligible for scholarships in the first semester.
a) Top rankers of JEE Advanced (2017) exam
b) Students admitted via the “Meritorious Students of Rajasthan State Board” mode.

2nd semester onwards: Academic performance at LNMIIT (CGPA >= 9.0).

Merit-Cum- Means Scholarship and BPL Scholarship:
Objective: To foster an environment of competitive excellence and support the education of economically marginal sections of the society.

Merit-cum- Means Scholarship:
Quantum of scholarship: 50% of the tuition fee to top 10 eligible students
Merit Criterion (First Semester): Minimum JEE (Advanced) Rank: 15000
OR
Minimum JEE (Main) PCM total Marks: 175

Second Semester onwards: CGPA =8.5 and no backlogs

Means Criterion:
Gross annual parental income (both parents) from all the sources Rs. =5,00,000.00

Documents:
** Income proof (Income certificate issued by competent authority)*
** Copy of ITR of previous financial year (applicable for tax payers only)
** Affidavit signed by both parents and attested by first class magistrate
** One year savings account statement
** Details of the property owned (personal/ancestral)

Note:
* For salaried parents proof of income will be provided by the head of the department/organization. In computing their gross annual income all components of their salary excluding the employers’ share of PF/EPF/NPS contribution will be included.

For non-salaried parents Attested copies of an Annual Income Certificate for 2015-16 from District Authority like S.D.O./B.D.O./Tahalsidar, Anchal Officer, Executive Officer of Municipal Corporation/ Gram Panchayet etc. will be applicable.

Process of Award :
A screening committee will look into the merit of all the cases and may ask the applicants to appear for an interview, if so required. For the renewal of scholarship applicants will be required to submit the income certificate/copy of ITR showing the gross annual income of the previous year. They need not submit the other documents. In the cases of renewal, 10% increase in income will be acceptable for the award of scholarship.

Note :
In case of academic under-performance or securing a backlog the scholarship will be withdrawn and will be reinstated only after the applicant fulfills minimum merit criterion.

BPL Scholarship:
Quantum of Scholarship: 100% of the tuition fee
First Semester : All the BPL students admitted are eligible.
Second Semester onwards: BPL students with CGPA of =6.0 and no backlogs

Note:
In case of academic under performance of the student the following will apply:
** If the CGPA fall below 6.0 the student will be issued a warning and will be expected to work harder to bring his/her CGPA to 6.0 within one semesters time. For that one semester s/he will be given scholarship. However, failing this, the scholarship will be withdrawn and reinstated only after, and with retrospective effect, the student achieves the CGPA of =6.0.
** In case of a backlog, the scholarship will be withdrawn and reinstated only after, and with retrospective effect, the backlogs are cleared.

Documents:
** A copy of BPL Card
** Affidavit signed by both parents and attested by first class magistrate

Process of Award:
A screening committee will look into the merit of all the cases and may ask the applicants to appear for an interview, if so required. BPL scholarship will automatically get renewed provided the beneficiary fulfills the minimum CGPA and no backlog requirement.

Note:
** No student will be eligible for more than one scholarship.
** All the scholarships are designed to compensate for the tuition fee.
** In the case of Merit-cum- means and BPL scholarships, if a student is getting scholarship from some other source, and if it is equal to his/her tuition fee, the student will not be given any LNMIIT scholarship.
** However, if the scholarship from the other source falls short of the tuition fee, LNMIIT will compensate for the remaining tuition fee, subject to the upper limit of the scholarship applicable in an individual’s case.
** Scholarship is not a matter of right. It is a privilege offered by the institute to enhance internal competition and thereby academic excellence, and support the needy. The institute reserves the right to eliminate or increase/decrease the quantum of scholarship and change the policy conditions.

Scholarship policies are reviewed by the Academic Council and Governing Council from time to time.
