Durga Devi Trust Scholarship Programme

To encourage needy but deserving school children from rural areas to continue with their studies and to minimize drop outs, the Trust has constituted a ‘Scholarship Programme’. Presently the scheme is applicable to Std 8th and Std 9th students.

The scholarship amount is necessarily remitted through a bank and students are required to open a joint account with their mother. The objective is to introduce them to simple, routine bank procedures and also inculcate the habit of saving. So far, the Trust has awarded this scholarship to over 1100 students.

Dnyanmitra Scholarship

Middle School Education Assistance :
** Eligibility Criteria – Economically needy students who have scored 70% or more marks in 7th standard can appear for the scholarship examination conducted by the Trust.

** Students with a good score in the exam become eligible to get the Scholarship of Rs 2000/- per year in 8th standard.
** The scholarship may be continued for 9th & 10th standard. Continuation is based on good academic performance in the final exams of 8th & 9th standard respectively.
** Scholarship amount will be credited to the bank account opened in the joint name of the selected student and his / her mother.

Utkarsh Yojana

Financial Assistance for High Potential Students in 11th & 12th STD :
** Eligibility criteria – Economically needy students who have scored 90% or more marks in 10th standard may apply for this scholarship.
** After successfully appearing for the interview and proving to be bright, the student may become eligible to get the Scholarship of Rs. 10,000/- per year.

** Performance will be monitored in 11th standard before continuing the scholarship for the next year.
** Scholarship will be credited only to the bank account of the student.

Dnyanvruddhi Yojana

Educational Assistance for higher studies
1. This scheme provides financial assistance to bright & needy students pursuing professional programs at various levels.

2. Needy students pursuing or intending to pursue Diploma / Degree / Post graduation course in Engineering, Medical, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Nursing and M.Sc may apply for this scholarship.

3. Eligibility :
** SSC – 80%, HSC – 70%, Diploma / Degree – 60%
** Students already pursuing a course should show consistency with minimum 60% marks.
** Third and final year students are not eligible.
4. Short listed candidates will be called for personal interview.
