Scholarship Types
Post-matric scholarship to SC/ST students :
The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribe students studying at post matriculation or post secondary stages to enable them to complete their education.
The Income ceiling of parents/guardian has recently been enhanced from Rs. 2, 00,000/- p.a. to Rs. 2, 50,000/- p.a.
Post-matric scholarship to OBC students :
The scholarship is given for study of various recognized Postsecondary courses pursued in recognized educational institutions. Same procedure for payment of Post-matric scholarship to SC/ST student is followed. There is a ceiling of family income of Rs.1,00,000/- p.a.
Pre-matric scholarship to SC students :
The main objective of this scheme is to support parents of SC children for education of their wards studying in classes IX & X. so that they perform better and have a better chance of progressing to the Post-Matric stage of education
About BCWD :
The Backward Classes Welfare Department works for social, economic and cultural development of the people belonging to SC and OBC in the State.
CW Department has introduced e-enabled services for issuance of Caste Certificates and disbursement of all types of Scholarship resulting in transparency, speedy disposal, easy access and increased coverage during last three years.

Our family economic condition is not well, so this scholarship help us to continue our "M.A in Visva- Bharati (Vidya Bhavana)". But there is a problem to select "Visva Bharati-Vidya Bhavana" *Course* and this problem is only for "Vidya Bhavana" Student of "Visva Bharati". Only for this reason we can't apply renewal scholarship of "Oasis scholarship". We went to our "institution" and then Block office of "Bolpur- Sriniketan", for this issue , they replied that they sent this related all documents on August 2022 for KYC update and also said that if KYC is not update by District office, then this scholarship application is not possible for only "Vidya Bhavana" students. So , we request to you that please complete KYC update of "Visva Bharati - Vidya Bhavana" *course* and please inquiry this related reason why "Visva Bharati-Vidya Bhavana" *Course* is not select to "Oasis scholarship" application, as soon as possible because "Oasis scholarship" last date seen in the website on 31/01/2023. I submitted all required hard copy to the my college.College also forward the application to the RANIGANJ BLOCK.But the block made the application defected and they / Remarks From Block : ACADEMIC YEAR WRONG put that reason.I already visited RANIGANJ BLOCK ,they said that ACADEMIC YEAR from 14/09/2022 to 13/09/2023 is 13 months so the Block rejected this.But sir from 14/09/2022 to 13/09/2023 is 12 months.They defected without any calculation.In this position they could not approve this application due to they already defected this application.And i could not edit or again renewed this same application for 2022-2023.
