State Scholarship Scheme :
The State Scholarship is provided by the State Government with the purpose that the students of scheduled tribe category would not be compelled to face the economic problems during their studies and their interest will remain in their studies. The scheme has also been proven helpful in reducing the school leaving rate.

Scholarship Rates:
This scholarship is given to girls from class 1st and to Boys it is given from 6th class. Current rates of scholarship which is being given for 10 months in every academic year are as follows.
Process of Scholarship:
The form of scholarship are given free of charge to students by respective institutions, which is to be submitted to head of the institution after duly filling it.
1. In government institutions, principals / Headmasters have been empowered for approval and disbursement of scholarships.
2.Provision for private educational institutions is that they have to contact to government agencies for approval and disbursement of scholarships.
3.Directives for disbursement of scholarship from class 1st to class 5th is to disburse the amount to parents of students in the presence of Public Representatives. The scholarships for remaining classes are being distributed through Banks Accounts. There is provision for payment of State Scholarships to class 1st to class 10th is to make onetime payment until 31st October.
Income Limit:
Income limit is no bar for the parents of students to get the State Scholarship.

2789189 tribal students have been benefited in the year 2011-2012. The target has been set to be benefited to 2877000 students during the year 2012-2013.
