National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship :

It is hereby notified that the State Level national Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme Examination for class VIII will be conducted on 06-11-2016 (Sunday) from 10.00 AM to 01.00 PM in Telugu / Hindi/ Urdu / English media at all Revenue Divisional Head Quarters of 13 Districts in the State.

The Ministry for Human Resource Development, Government of India has launched centrally sponsored National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (N.M.M.S.S). Under this scheme an examination will be conducted and selected candidates will get the scholarship.

Every year 1, 00,000 students will be selected throughout India. Out of which 4087 scholarships are being allotted to Residuary Andhra Pradesh and have been distributed among the districts basing on enrollment in VII and VIII Classes for each academic year.

The Director of Government Examinations, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad is conducting NMMS examination from August 2008.

This examination is conducted every year in the month of November for the students in class VIII studying in Government/ Local Body/Municipal/Aided Schools are eligible for this examination.

The candidates who got minimum 55% of marks for OC/BC candidates and 50% for SC/ST in VII Standard. The beneficiaries are being selected basing on the merit and as per the reservation norms followed by the state.

State Norms including 3% reservation for P.H candidates. (S.C 15%; S.T 6%; B.C-A 7%; B.C-B 10%; B.C-C 1%; B.C-D 7%) regarding BC-E implementation in NMMS Examination will be considered after receipt of clarification from the government.

Pattern of Examination is as follows:
Mental Ability Test (M.A.T) – 90 marks multiple choice questions.
Scholastic Ability Test (S.A.T) – 90 marks covering social science, science and mathematics of class VII & VIII. Each question carry one mark

Important Dates :

a) Last date for Upload the candidate’s application by the concerned Head Masters. 14-09-2016 (Wednesday)
b) Last date for Payment of fee. 17-09-2016 (Saturday)
c) Last date for submission of printed application forms along with other enclosures in the O/o.The District Educational Office concerned by the school HM’s 20-09-2016 (Thursday)

d) Last date for submission of Printed Nominal Rolls by the concerned DEO’s (after through scrutiny of printed NRs with original certificated of income,VIII pass memos and caste etc..and certify on the NR with designation stamp)in the O/o. the Director of Government Examinations, A.P., Hyderabad. 26-09-2016 (Monday)

User Guide to fill Online NMMS Application form :
Step 1. Open “bseap.org” in any web browser then you can find the following web page
Step 2. Click on “NMMS” (Rounded in red color) in the web page. Then the following screen appears
Step 3. Click on Online Application Form (Rounded in red color). Then the following screen appears
Step 4. Enter “DISE School Code” and “Password” in the boxes provided (Rounded). Then the following screen appears

Step 5 : Fill all the columns in the application form and upload the photo with signature by click on Browse button. and click on “Submit Application” (Rounded in color) button. Enter all the candidates’ details one by one.

After completion of uploading all the applications click on “Report” (Rounded in color) then the following screen appears. Click on to download the Nominal Roll.

Step 6 : Click on “SBI Collect” button (Rounded in red color) to pay the examination fee. To know more about how to pay the examination fee, follow “user guide to pay NMMS Examination fee “ link available in the home page of bseap.org.

Step 7 : After successful payment of examination fee, login again and enter click on “Add SBI Collect Information” (Rounded in Red Color) then the following screen appears:

Step 8 : Fill all the columns i.e., Branch Name, Transaction number (number started with DU), Amount and Date Paid. Then click on SAVE button to save all the transaction details. Otherwise the application may be rejected.
