Education Scholarship

Applications are invited for the award of Education Scholarships 2017-18 to the needy and deserving Muslim students of Haryana studying in the recognized schools/cottages/institutes up to Graduation level in class/course after passing 10th class.

Eligibility

Minimum requirement for Education Scholarships is 65% marks by boys and 60% obtained by girls in the last examination . But the scholarships will be given on moat as per availability of budget Total annual income of parents of such students must not exceed Rs 200 Lac (Rs Two Lac Only) from all sources Income certificate/affidavit will be attested by Executive Magistrate only .

Last Date

The complete application form in all respect with income certificate and marks sheet of last examination must reach the Head Office Haryana Waqf Board. 50. Sardar Patel Marg. Ambata Cantt.- 133001 by 15th December. 2017 through the concerned Estate Officer of the Board.

About Haryana Waqf Board :
The Haryana Waqf Board, a body corporate having perpetual succession, was established by the State Government under section 13 (1) of the Waqf Act, 1995 (Act No. 43 of 1995) on 1st August, 2003vide Government of Haryana Notification No. 18/2/96-3JJ (I), dated 1.8.2003. Previously, the State of Haryana was one of the constituent units of the erstwhile Punjab Waqf Board.

Note:
The scheme aims at encouraging the deserving Muslim students of the State. Students of Class 10th, +1, +2 and ITI (Category I) are getting Rs 5,000 per annum. Students at graduation level doing BA, B.Com, B.Sc etc. (Category II) are getting scholarships of Rs 6,000 per annum. Post Graduate students doing MA, M.Com, M.Sc. and LLB (Category III) are getting Rs 8,000 per year.

Students who are doing professional courses like MBBS, MBA, BE/B.Tech (Category IV) getting Rs 10,000 per year. The Board is also providing the scholarships to about 428 needy students.

Know About Muslim Scholarship Funds:
The Haryana Waqf Board has established and successfully running Mewat Engineering College (Waqf) MECW in Nuh Tehsil of Mewat district to impart quality higher technical education primarily to deprived students belonging to Muslim minority community concentrated in backward area of Mewat region. Mewat Engineering College has the status of minority institution but it is open to all sections of the society.

The objective of the ‘Muslim Scholarship Funds’ is charitable and primarily aiming at helping Muslim students of the Mewat Engineering College in the shape of scholarships.

‘Muslim Scholarship Funds’ is a step towards the creation of a knowledge-driven, equal-opportunity society. The idea is to financially support the eligible needy and deserving students of the Mewat Engineering College with their educational expenses. We believe in working together for a bright future of our society which is undoubtedly dependent on quality education.
