Lal Bahadur Shastri Scholarship

Introduced by the Education Department, Government of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri Scholarship scheme to meritorious students aims at providing financial help to the meritorious students of economically weaker sections of the society.

The Students of class VII – XII who are studying in government schools and have secured 80% and above marks in the previous class will be awarded a cash price of INR 1000/-, INR 1500/- and INR 2000/- depending on the class in which they are. Approximately 20000 students are awarded under this scheme every year.

Objective:
The objective of the scheme is to provide financial help to the meritorious students of economically weaker sections of society

Eligibility

If you are willing to apply for this scholarship, you need to fulfill the following essential conditions

** The students must have secured 80% and above marks in their previous class.
** The student must be from class VII – XII.
** The annual parental income of the students should not exceed 2 lakhs.

How To Apply

To apply online, you need to adopt the below given procedure

Step 1 – Visit the official website of Delhi Directorate of Education.
Step 2 – Click on the notification link and register as new user.
Step 3 – Fill in the required mandatory details carefully.
Step 4 – Finally submit the dully filled form.

Documents Required

** Application form
** Aadhar Card
** Previous years Mark sheet
** Passport size Photograph
** Admission Certificate
** Bank details e.g. account number, account holder name, branch name, IFSC code, MICR code

Award Details

** Rs. 1000/- p.a to students of classes VII & VIII `
** Rs. 1500/- p.a to students of classes IX and X and `
** Rs. 2000/- p.a to students of classes XI and XII

The scholarship is to be paid in the midsession so that it may help students in buying books, study material, stationary etc.
