You would be pleased to know that a preliminary jury was held on the 8th of September, 2017, and the following candidates have been selected on the basis of the entries sent by yourselves.

Reporting & Registration Time : 9:45 am sharp
Venue : Conference Hall, Open Palm Court India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road (Next to Airforce Bal Bharti School), New Delhi. Nearest metro station Jor Bagh (2kms away).

Note:
** The candidates are requested to only carry 5 original works for the interview. More than 5 works shall not be entertained due to restriction of time.
** Please report sharp on the above mentioned time.
** Kala Sakshi shall be reimbursing the to and fro travel tickets for outstation candidates, but only on the submission of a photocopy of the original ticket. The candidate can claim 2nd class General Fare.

Selection Procedure:
** Candidates shortlisted for the interview (finalists) shall be called for an interview in Delhi in October 2017.
** An eminent jury of artists, curators and critics will interview the finalists and review their application, essays and works submitted.
** The announcement of the final awardees shall be made on the website by the end of October 2017.
** The scholarships will be awarded at a memorial event to commemorate Sakshi Nayar.

About Kala Sakshi Art Scholarship :
Kala Sakshi Memorial Trust announces Five prestigious scholarships for talented young art students. This scholarship is a platform for the identification of new talent in art and its aim is to provide the final awardees with an opportunity to experiment and showcase their art.

The scholarship includes an award of Rs 30,000 to each recipient, the opportunity to be mentored by senior persons in the artist community as well as to establish linkages with people in the field, and support in organizing exhibitions of their works at a future date.
