Samsung India Electronics Private Limited (“Samsung”), as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) initiatives is instituting the Scholarship Programme “Samsung Star Scholar” (“Programme”) across Indian Institute of Technology and National Institute of Technology for the benefit of the student(s).

The program will award scholarship for student(s) graduating from all Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, on the basis of their merit at the Joint Entrance Examination Main (Advanced).

The scholarship is available to undergraduate students currently pursuing a B.Tech / Dual Course (B.Tech + M.Tech) at any of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) or National Institute of Technology (NIT) in India.

Samsung believes that investing in students today will create positive change across the world. Scholarship decision letters and all official communication will be sent directly to the selected individual student e-mail account.

Important Information  :
** The Scholarship Candidate(s) should be first year students, or last year’s scholarship holders, in a full term B. Tech/Dual Degree (B.Tech+M.Tech) course at the Institute.
** Applications submitted after the submission Last Dates will not be considered.
** Samsung India will provide scholarship support for selected Scholarship Candidate(s) basis the verified application form.
** For this purpose, Samsung may engage any third party to carry out verification of the information provided and other administrative tasks associated with the Programme.
** Meeting the minimum application requirements and scholarship criteria does not guarantee the scholarship.
** The scholarship recipient will forfeit the scholarship amount, during the scholarship period, in case he/she fails any criteria mentioned in the Rule Book.

Instructions For Application Submission :
1. When applying for scholarship, please make sure that you carefully read and understand the guidelines. If you do not meet the criteria for the scholarship, your application will not be considered.
2. This application form is for all first year students in B. Tech/Dual Degree (B.Tech+ M.Tech) course who have graduated from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and who wish to apply for Samsung Star Scholarship for the 2017-18 academic session.
3. Please complete the form clearly and in black or blue ink. All questions must be answered. Do not leave any section blank. If a section does not apply to you, please indicate that it is not applicable (N/A).
4. Scholarship entitlement for students will be considered via this application form only.
5. You need to submit only ONE application. It is your responsibility to make sure the Scholarship Application you submit is complete, with any supporting documentation or references required. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Once submitted, the application and its materials will not be returned.
6. Scholarship entitlement for student(s) will be certified by the Dean Academics office only.
7. Scholarship support is for expenses related to yearly tuition fee, hostel and mess charges. All sums of money referred to must be in Indian Rupees (INR).
8. We do not accept incomplete or late applications. Applications must be sent as a hard copy as well as through email. Applications should be emailed in .pdf format to star.scholar@samsung.com by the Last Date date of August 31, 2017 with all required documents attached.
