National Talent Search Exam :

Applications are invited for NTSE National Talent Search Examination for year 2017

On the basis of National Talent Search examination conducted by NCERT, 1000 scholarships will be awarded. 15% scholarships will be awarded to SC, 75%to ST and 3%to Physically challenged candidates. The awardees of NTSE will receive a sum of Rs.1250/- per month for +1& +2, Rs.2000/- per month for U.G. & P.G.

Examination Fee:
** Rs.40/- for General Category
** Rs.30/- for SC/ST/PCG

Eligibility Conditions:
** Any regular student of Class X in academic session 2017-18 can appear in this examination.
** He must have passed IX class securing at least 60% marks (Gen. Category) or 55% (SC/ST/CWSN) in 2016-17 from any recognized School in H.P. Attach the attested copy of marks sheet of Class IX.
** Candidate failed in class X is not eligible to sit in examination.
** Student who have registered under Open Distance Learning Programme are also eligible provided he/she is below 18 years age and is not employed.
** Candidates belonging to SC/ST must attach attested copies of certificate from SDM/Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar.
** Disability certificate (having disability not below 40%) as per PWD act must be issued by CDMO (Chief Distt. Medical Officer. Without these certificates the prescribed concession for SC/ST/Disability category shall not be given.

Information Regarding Examination :
** Stage-I will comprise of three tests namely Mental Ability Test (MAT) Language Test & Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
** MAT will judge the power of reasoning, ability to think and judge, evaluate or discriminate etc.
** Language test will consist of Hindi & English. Students shall have an option to choose one of the language. It is just a qualifying test and marks will not be added while preparing merit list.
** SAT will consist of questions from three subjects i.e. Basic Science, Social Science & Mathematics.
** All the questions will be multiple choice questions having four options. You have to mark the correct option in OMR sheet.
** There is no prescribed syllabus and the paper will be based on curriculums of IX and X class.
** The minimum qualifying marks for General category candidates shall be 40% and for SC/ST/PCG is 35% for each examination.
** There is no provision for re-evaluation of result. All the decisions w.r.t. examination rest with Principal, SCERT, Solan.

Note:
Incomplete forms/candidate ineligible in any respect shall be rejected straightway and will not be informed individually. In case of any discrepancy/intelligibility, candidature of the candidate shall be cancelled at any stage.
