Rashtritya Sanskrit Sansthan Merit Scholarship

On-line applications are invited from the students for the award of merit scholarship for the year 2017-2018 under the scheme for Development of Sanskrit Education

Starting and closing dates of on-line registration of Institutions and applications of the students are given as under

Registration Steps

Step- 1 :
All educational institutions to be got registered on-line or for profile updation at www.sanskrit.nic.in or www.scholarship.rsks.in (details of registered institutions will be activated by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan after due verification within a week of registration. All such activated institutions will only be available in the drop-down menu of the students’ Scholarship On-line Application)

Specific Dates :
Starting date of online registration 27.07.2017
Closing date of online registration 30.08.2017

Step- 2 :
After activation of the relevant institution, student can login and apply for scholarship in On-line application at www.sanskrit.nic.in or www.scholarship.rsks.in

Specific Dates :
Starting date of online application 30.07.2017
Closing date of online application 10.09.2017

Eligibility criteria for scholarship

1. Student must have obtained the following percentage of marks or equivalent grade in Sanskrit/ Pali/Prakrit and in aggregate (all subjects) in the required qualifying examination :-

** General Category – 60%
** Other backward Category – 55%
** S.C/S.T/Divine Body Category – 50%

2. Student should also pursue Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit in the current academic year.

Required Documents

For on-line application, the following scanned documents need to be uploaded in the appropriate place:-
** The relevant mark-sheet (for details please visit www.scholarship.rsks.in)
** The bank pass-book details where the applicant has an account in his/her name ( the first page of the passbook where details along with the photograph is available)
** Aadhar card of the applicant.
** Caste/Category certificate of reserved category (S.C/S.T/O.B.C/Divine Body) from the appropriate authority in the name of the applicant.

Important Notes:-
** Bank account should be linked with Aadhar number.
** He/ She should not be a recipient of any other Scholarship /Stipends during the academic year.
** All the applications sent before the issuance of the circular/notice will not be considered.


** The Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan reserves the right to make such changes in the terms and conditions as it may considered necessary .The Sansthan also reserves the right to reject an application after due scrutiny .The decision of the Sansthan in this regard will be final and binding

Procedure for Submission of Application

Only on-line application will be accepted. No need of sending any documents by postal or other means.

Step 1: Read Guidelines carefully.

Step 2: Registration of the Institutions.
All educational institutions should be got registered here and without registration your institution name will not be displayed in scholarship forms.

Step 3: Verification of the Institutional details.
The details of registered institutions will be activated by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan after due verification within a week of registration.

Step 4: Activation of the Institutions.
The name of the activated institutions will appear in the drop-down menu of the students’ Scholarship On-line Application. If your institution is activated then the institution name will be displayed in the drop-down menu of the students’ Scholarship On-line Application and confirmation of the activation will be sent to the concerned institution email.

If details of your Institution are objected then an email will be sent by the Sansthan and institution can be modified or upload sufficient details in online registration form. Once your institution is activated then the details can’t be modified.

Step 5: Apply for Scholarship by the Student.
After activation of the relevant institution, student can login and apply for scholarship here (if your Campus / Institution / College / School name is not appeared in the drop-down menu, you may contact your Head of the Institution for Registration of the concerned institution or you may wait until the activation)

      As per guidelines of the Scheme, a list of the students provisionally eligible for the award of scholarship will be sent through E-mail or By post, to the Principal/H.O.D./Dean of the concerned institution for verification.

      The details of the students, verified by the Principal/H.O.D./Dean of the concerned institution shall be countersigned by the following respective authority:

      (i) For Affiliated schools – Director of Education State/District Education Officer/ Block Education Officer.
      (ii) For Govt. Schools -Principal of concerned School.
      (iii) For Kendirya Vidyalaya – Principal of concerned School.
      (iv) For Govt. Colleges -Principal of the concerned College.
      (v) For affiliated Colleges -Registrar of the affiliating University.
      (vi) For affiliated institutions of

      Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan – Principal of affiliated institution. Scholarship will be released, subject to receipt of the hard copy of verified details of the student by the respective Principal/HOD/Dean and countersigned by the above respective authority within the prescribed time frame.

  20. I have 94 marks in 9th standard. Where can I fill the Sanskrit Scholarship form online?

      Invites online application from the regular students studying Sanskrit/ Pali/ Prakrit as a main or optional subject in any recognized Sanskrit Pathashala/ Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya/ Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya in Traditional stream.

If your institution is activated then the institution name will be displayed in the drop-down menu of the students’ Scholarship On-line Application and confirmation of the activation will be sent to the concerned institution email.
