Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship:

A unique initiative to promote girls higher education. Girl Students passing (10+2) examination in 2017 from any Board and studying Basic Science/ Medicine/ Engineering.

This scholarship shall be awarded through JBNSTS Senior Scholarship Test.

Scholarship:
Rs. 2000 per month and annual Book grant of Rs. 2000 for four/ five years. Motivating & Nursing Science Camps throughout the year for all scholars.

Date of Examination: 20 August, 2017 (Sunday)
Application forrn fill-up: 01 June 2017 to 31 July 2017

Junior Scholarship Test : Students passing 10th standard with minimum 75 percent marks (overall) from any Board lm2017 and aspiring to study Science with combination of any three of Phy/ Cher/ Mattr/ Bio/ Sbt/ Conrp Sc.
Scholarship : Rs. 1000 per month and annual Book grant of Rs. 2500 for two years.

Senior Scholarship Test : Students passing (10+2) examination from any Board in Science in 2017 and aspiring to study fund Med/ Basic Science (as per DST- INSPIRE regulations).
Scholarship : Rs. 4000 per month and annual Book grant of Rs. 5000 (till completion of bachelors’ degree in Engg and Medicine) and Rs. 5000 per month for Basic Science discipline (by DST TNSPTRE).
Special attraction : Laptop for top ten boys and top ten girls

Who can apply for the test ?
Any Indian National who has passed the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination in the year of application (i.e. , current year ) and is studying B.Sc.(Hons.), Engineering or Medicine at undergraduate level in any institution, registered in West Bengal..

Application for Scholarship :
The dates of application, examination etc. are advertised in leading newspapers after the result of Higher Secondary examination (West Bengal) is declared. Application form and the admit card may be downloaded from the website. It may also be obtained by post or from the office. For further details please contact.

Scholarship Test :
It is a three phased test involving written test (1st phase), Interview (2nd phase) and Scientific Creativity Test (3rd and Final phase). Only the short listed students from each phase are called for the next phase. The names of short listed candidates at each phase can be seen here. Results will be declared after every phase of examination.

Benefits to Awardees :
A scholarship of Rs. 1000/- p.m. till M.B.B.S. for the students of medicine and till B.E. / B.Tech for the students of engineering.
** The selected scholars from basic science shall automatically be entitled to the DST-INSPIRE scholarship of Rs. 80,000/- p.a. till M.Sc.
